ParaLLaps turns overhead video of a 1/28 RC track into a top-down replay with lap times, speeds and corner analysis. This page explains what we keep, where, and what you control.
Your videos stay on your device
Videos are processed in your browser. They are never uploaded to ParaLLaps, including when you sign in and sync.
What we store when you sign in
- Account: your email address, and your name if you sign in with Google. We ask Google only for your basic profile (name, email and profile picture) and nothing else in your Google account.
- Synced sessions: the results of your sessions: car positions and lap data, the top-down track image, calibration, session names and notes.
- Garage: the car names, classes, transponder numbers and colours you enter.
Without an account, sessions are kept only in your browser on that device.
Usage events and error reports
To find what's broken and where people get stuck, the app records simple events: which setup steps a video reaches, whether processing worked, how well the track fit lines up (measurements such as how square the tiles came out), the error messages you see, and crashes. Each browser gets a random ID so attempts can be counted; if you're signed in, events are linked to your account. Events never include your video, its frames or your session data, and only ParaLLaps administrators can see them.
To check and improve tracking, ParaLLaps administrators may also view the top-down track images and session results you sync to your account. We don't share them with anyone.
Share links
When you share a session, anyone with the link can open a read-only copy without signing in. Links can't be guessed. Stopping sharing deletes the shared copy and the old link stops working.
Who processes the data
- Supabase stores accounts, synced sessions and the Garage (servers in the United States).
- Google handles sign-in if you choose Continue with Google.
- Cloudflare serves the website.
We don't sell your data, show ads, or use advertising or tracking cookies. Your browser stores a sign-in token and your sessions in local storage so the app works.
Deleting your data
Deleting a session in the app removes it from your account on the next sync. To delete your whole account, open Account and choose Delete account: your synced sessions, share links, Garage and the usage events linked to your account are deleted immediately. Sessions saved in your browser stay on that device. If you can't sign in, email [email protected] from the address you used and we'll delete it within 30 days.
Children
ParaLLaps is not intended for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and its date. Significant changes will also be announced in the app.
